ICS Services

Basic Support Services

Individual Community Living Support

For people who need reminders, cues intermittent/moderate supervision or physical assistance to remain in their own homes.

Night Supervision

Provides overnight assistance and monitoring by an awake staff in the person's home.

Respite Care

Short-term care due to the absence or need for relief of the family member(s) or primary caregiver normally providing the care.

Adult Companion Services

Non-medical care, supervision and socialization to a person age 18 or older.

24-hour Emergency Assistance

On-call counseling and problem-solving and/or immediate response for assistance at a person's home due to a health/personal emergency.

Homemaker

Eligible services range from light household cleaning to household cleaning with incidental assistance with home management and/or activities of daily living.

Individualized Home Supports

Services for people who live in their own home or family home that provide support and/or training in the community living service categories listed in the covered services section

Personal Support

Services provided in the person's home or community in support of achieving potential, increasing independence and meeting community inclusion goals.

ICS Services

Support

ICS is a new 245D-licensed service that helps fill identified service gaps and supports people who choose to live and receive services in a supported apartment setting. An ICS setting is a multi-family housing building (e.g., apartment building) in which the provider has direct or indirect control over the person’s living unit. This means the provider owns, operates or leases the living units contained in the setting. 

ICS provides supports and training in four community living service categories: 

  • Community participation

  • Health, safety and wellness

  • Household management

  • Adaptive skills.

  • Community mobility and pedestrian safety (e.g., safely getting in and around the community)

  • Community resource use and access

  • Community safety and awareness

  • Informal support system and network development

  • Interpersonal communications skills

  • Leisure, recreation and socialization planning

  • Skill-building to meet transportation needs.

Adaptive Skills​​

  • Crisis prevention skills.

  • Implementation of positive support strategies.

  • Problem-solving.

  • Sensory/motor development involved in acquiring functional skills.

  • Support strategies for self-sufficiency.

  • Support and training to increase positive behavior, resulting in reduction or elimination of challenging behavior.
